Yes, Pope Francis is officially in the sneaker game. His entry point (presuming he doesn't have untold pairs stashed away in Vatican City) comes via University of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh, who presented the Pope with an exclusive pair of the "Michigan" Air Jordan 5s on Wednesday.
Images from the surreal event surfaced on Twitter, including one confirming Pope Francis as a size 10 and featuring a promo box specifically for His Holiness. He wasn't the only one to get the sneakers either—according Jeff Seidel, at least one archbishop got a pair. Jim Harbaugh also presented the Pope with a Michigan football helmet. Michigan is sponsored by Jordan, having started its partnership with the brand last season.
The Michigan Wolverines football team, who are on a trip to Rome, stopped by Vatican City for Pope Francis' papal address on Wednesday.
